From day one, Five Points brought a fresh vision to every aspect of our event – from helping our speakers build presentation decks that felt authentic to capturing every moment onstage with breathtaking photography and film. Their team understood how to make complex ideas digestible, how to guide nervous speakers with empathy, and how to reflect the energy of our community with real artistry. The result wasn’t just a beautiful event – it was an unforgettable one. We’re proud to have collaborated with a studio that leads with intention and finishes with drill.
The challenge was twofold. First, we needed to design visual presentations that felt as compelling and intelligent as the speakers themselves – many of whom were faculty, students, or researchers not full-time presenters. Each talk required a visual narrative that supported, rather than distracted from, the subject matter. Second, we were tasked with documenting the evening in a way that honored the prestige and intimacy of TED while also showcasing the community spirit unique to the University of Georgia.
Our solution was a collaborative speaker-first design process that paired storytelling strategy with minimalist, elegant slide design. We offered one-on-one creative direction, ensuring every speaker felt supported and empowered by their visuals. Simultaneously, we developed a visual coverage plan for the event itself – capturing the cadence of the evening through carefully composed photography and cinematic video. The result was a collection of visual assets that were not only beautiful but deeply functional for post-event promotion, archives, and individual speaker use.
The outcome was an event that felt seamless and elevated. Speakers delivered their talks with more ease, supported by visuals that worked in harmony with their message. The photography and videography we provided became central to the communications of the event – offering a timeless visual legacy for the university and the larger Athens community. Our involvement helped ensure that the stories shared on stage were honored with clarity and care.
